Well, mom is recovering nicely. She hasn't went for her follow-up visit yet but is feeling pretty good. She is actually feeling well enough that she is having to remind herself to not overdue it. She is tired by the end of the day but doing well.
The flood waters have gone down for the most part. There is so much clean up to be done everywhere though. We were so lucky to have any damage but there are so many who lost everything. They are saying it will take at least 6-8 weeks to just get the hospitals ER up and running and probably another 2-3 months to get rest of the hospital up and running again. Estimated $25 million to repair the hospital.
So many roads and bridges still washed out and in passable. It will take so long to repair all of the damage, and we had even more rain last night.
Dean had his first field trip this week. He rode the preschool bus to the Zoo, which is about 50 miles from here. They left the school at 9 am and arrived back at the school at 2 pm. So it was a pretty busy and long day for them. They took sack lunches from school with them and ate at the zoo. Dean had a really good time and enjoyed riding the school bus. His first trip on a bus.
Thats about all thats new with us right now. Time to go figure out what is going tobe for dinner tonight then I think we may go fishing later.
