Kindergarten

Dean went today to take his kindergarten test. It is actually screening, a way for the school to put the right kids in the right classes.He did great, sat and talked to the teacher. He was able to answer most of the questions without too much difficulty, but there was definite areas where he needs work.
It looks like he is going to be in regular half day kindergarten then go to something called k-club. it is another kindergarten class that focuses more on one on one attention with the children and give the teachers the opportunity to sit down with each student and work on areas that each one needs to work on.
I think this is probably the best thing for Dean in order to be ready for first grade. He really likes the teacher he is going to happen and so do I. I can't imagine him having a better teacher.

With Dean going to be at school full day come fall, I am going to look into working at the school. Either in the office area or becoming a substitute teacher. It has been 5 years since I have worked so I am a little nervous but excited as well.

Off to go watch my niece play soccer.
