The day started out nice. Cool but nice. It was actually so cool that I had on my jeans, t-shirt, and jacket. (I love being able to dress like that, would be happy if the weather was like that all the time.)
The town my sister lives in (about 8 minutes from me) had their community yard sale Saturday morning. There was a prediction of rain and with that in mind and the fact that it was a holiday, I was not sure if we would have much of a turn out. However, we did pretty good. I made a couple hundred dollars. So not too bad for about 4 hours of sitting in my sisters back yard chatting, watching the kids play.
The rain came in around noon and unfortunately stayed until oh.. about 11 pm.
We were suppose to go my moms early evening for fishing , cookout, and fireworks. We still went over but not until later than we had planned and only for dinner. We were still able to cookout because my parents have a covered patio. So we sat and ate and watched the rain.
We came home around 9:30 and a few of the neighbors set off a few fireworks. There were more fireworks last night and we were able to set off a few of our own as well.
It was still a good day spent with family, just not spent quite the way we had planned.
