Back to normal...kinda

Dean went back to school today although it was with a 2 hour delay due to a lot of ice on the road. Unfortunately it is still coming down so not how much better the roads will be at 3 when it is time to pick him back up from school.

He and I were both ready for him to go back to school. He was beginning to get restless even with all the new toys he got for Christmas and I have a lot of deep cleaning that needs to get done that gets done quicker and easier if he is not here to "help". Although I do have to say that he did help with a few different projects both here and at my moms while on Christmas break.

We rearranged the furniture in Deans room, put new shelves in a closet for extra blankets and such, sorted through "stuff" and tossed or put away to be donated a lot of it. He also helped my mom paint several things at her house.

Now I need to wash down the fronts of all of my kitchen cabinets and organize the "stuff" that is inside of them. I got several kitchen items for Christmas and right now have no where to put them. But I know there are several items in those cabinets that have not been used in a very long time so I will see if another family member wants them or donate them.

I also have an old Hoosier Cabinet that needs new drawer bottoms and a new shelf. The ones that are there will not hold anything and since I have no intentions of selling it , I am not concerned with it losing value when I change the inside. Right now other than being a pretty piece of furniture it is useless as a source of storage. So I will repair the insides and finally be able to store all of my tablecloths, centerpieces and good dishes in one place, right next to the dining room table.

If I am ever going to get any of these things done I should quit writing and actually do something.
