UGH

So much for my relaxing afternoon and evening.

We went down to feed the neighbors animals and found that there was a baby alpaca this morning. Such a small thing. We must have just missed her coming into this world. she was still wet and shaking when trying to stand. We got mommy and baby in their own part of the barn.

Getting ready to leave and Dean yells and says his eye hurts. We think he was stung on his eye. By the time we can get up the lane to our house his eye is swollen almost completely shut. I don't think he has ever been stung before. Not only was his eye lid swollen but so was his eye ball. I got freaked out and so off to the ER we went. They checked his breathing and his eye and decided yes it was a sting but that other than the swelling he was fine. So they have him a dose of prednisone (steroids), benadryl , and motrin and an ice pack and sent us on our way with the warning that by tomorrow morning it would probably be swollen shut again but would go down once he was up and moving again.

So he is staying home with us tonight and we are keeping an eye out for excessive swelling, draining or fever.

He is sleeping now but it was a very hectic, worrisome day for us.

Thanking God that it was nothing more serious and that my little boy is sleeping comfortably tonight.

HI Elisha,
Sorry I've not been here. Hope Dean is better by now - and just think of the memory he has of a newborn baby. Glad he saw that before he was stung - kind of makes the evening a LITTLE bit better.
Hope Dean is liking school.
Hugs to you my friend,
Sue
