Crying

Dean started kindergarten this morning. He was exited when he got up and even when we got to the school. Then the bell rang, we went in and he got in the line for kindergarten. Thats when his lip started quivering and he was trying very hard not to cry. I had to leave then. As soon as I got outside I too was crying. If he hadn't been upset I would have been ok but seeing him trying so hard not to cry is still making me upset. He will be there all day so I will have to wait until 3 to see how today goes.

He has been in preschool for 2 years so he is used to being gone, this is just a new lace with new people. He will have a friend from preschool with him in the afternoons though so that should help.

I know he will do fine and make so many new friends but its hurts this moms heart to see her little boy upset and scared.

When I dropped off my oldest for his first full-day of school (1st grade) he didn't even pout. "Bye, Mom!" and he headed in.
That same morning, I dropped my second oldest off at pre-school for the first time. Not a tear. "See you after school. Mom!"
I went to the car and cried a bucket. I figured SOMEBODY had to!
Congratulations, Mom. He'll be fine.
