Finishing Touches

I do not understand why when a new house is built, no one seems to find it necessary to put finishing touches on the back of the house. This wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that we spend most of our time in back rather than in the front yard.

You might ask, what is she talking about? Well you see, when they built the house I live in, the put shutters across the front of the house. They also put grids in all of the windows across the front of the house.

The problem though, is that they did nothing at all to the back of our house. It is as plain as plain can be. Looks very unfinished. So this week we have put shutters on all of the windows to match the front. The next step to this project will be to put grids in the windows and the patio door.

We have also purchased a pool. We would have loved to have gotten an in-ground pool but that is just financially feasible at this point so we got a very nice 24 ft round pool that is 52" tall. We pick it up tomorrow and in 7-10 days they will come and install it for us. I am very excited about this.

Once the pool is installed, we will need to build a deck around it then we also want to expand the deck outside our back patio door.

Just talking about it all makes me tired but once we finish it all it will be so nice. Won't all get done immediately but sooner or later it will all get done.

Need to go take a break after thinking about all the work we have ahead of us.
