Tooting my own horn.

I know its not good to brag but I have to toot my own horn just a bit.

Our county fair officially starts Monday. However, yesterday all of the food, crafts, and photography entries were do for judging. Tonight they had an open house for all of the exhibitors to see how we did.

Here are my results.

Chocolate Drizzled coconut macaroons First place in drop cookies, Reserve Champion for all cookies.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars 3rd place in bar cookies

Freezer Strawberry Jelly 3rd place in frozen jelly's or jams

Thanksgiving center piece 2nd place in holiday decor

Patriotic flower arrangement 1st place in silk floral arrangements

Black/White picture of Calla Lilies 2nd place

I also entered but did not place in

German chocolate fudge

Autumn wreath

Wednesday is the pie baking contest and i plan to enter 4 pies in that so hopefully I will have luck on my side then as well. These are silly things but I have such a good time doing it.

Hey, will you come for the day or so and teach me how? I would love to enter foods in our fair, but I'm not very confident. Actually, I'm sure they'll TASTE good; they may not LOOK good. I'm no good at presentation!
